Coastal Cuties Gear helps fund a family cooperative called Coastal Cuties of Long Beach, and together we continue to find ways to offset our footprint. One way we have been successful is by using Earth Day as an educational tool for our children to understand how important our environment is. We also participated in a reforestation program by planting a tree donated by the city in one of the largest parks in Long Beach. The children of Coastal Cuties all pitched with the event. Education is truly where it starts.

You’ve probably spied Coastal Cuties all-natural baby care products before. They’re one of many quality bath and body care shops that cater to the green baby scene — and we particularly like their Organic Baby Wash & Shampoo with lavender & chamomile.
Anyways, the company is announcing that not only have they gone carbon-neutral with help from CarfonFund.org, but the packaging for their products is now much greener. “We’ve always used all-natural, earth friendly ingredients for our baby care products so updating our packaging to more earth friendly materials made sense,” said Andrea Salisbury, President and founder.
The company has added Fiberstone — a tree-free, low carbon footprint material made from natural minerals. According to the release, “One ton of FiberStone, which is made from calcium carbonate (natural “chalk”), saves 16,000 gallons of water, 9,000 BTU’s of energy, and 20 trees! FiberStone™ papers can also be used for labels, tags, unit cartons, boxes, brochures, catalogs, banners, and many other printed products.”
